All students trying out, who were not in a 2008 fall sport and do not have a physical, must have one in order to tryout for PNHS cheerleading.

Pick up information packets from the
athletic office beginning Monday, May 11, 2009.

Practices and other important dates

  • Physicals due prior to the first Clinic date. Athletics keeps a record. If a valid physical (does not expire before the last day of tryouts) is NOT on record with athletics, you may not participate in the clinic.
  • Practice times for JV and Varsity are yet to be determined. Generally, they are 3-5:30 on non game days.
  • There will be a summer skills camp for those making the team. It is likely to be 3 days in the last 2 weeks of July. Time and dates are to be set.
  • PNHS Cheerleaders condition during the summer. This conditioning is vital. It helps to prevent injury. If you are in summer school, a summer conditioning schedule will be given to you and you are expected to complete the conditioning on your own time. All cheerleaders will go to conditioning. If there is a problem with morning conditioning due to SUMMER SCHOOL ONLY, you may attend the JV conditioning session. Work is not excused for summer conditioning.
