Be on time and be prepared!

2. When reading, read ACTIVELY!

Use a pencil to guide your eyes and underline
what you think is important

quickly, but STAY FOCUSED

the entire passage before attacking the questions

On the SCIENCE PASSAGE ONLY: if you are
short on time, read/underline the topic sentences only. Then go right to the questions!

Watch your time; you have about 8 ˝ minutes per
passage

When in doubt, go with your first instinct
