FACS

This course is one of the Encore Classes for Timber Ridge students. FACS is a 9 weeks course divided into two 4 week sessions. One session is spent in the Foods Lab, the other in the Sewing Lab. Students in our classes gain the life skills they need for the future.

In the Foods Lab, basic cooking skills like using kitchen tools and appliances, preparing a meal, and keeping the kitchen clean and safe are covered in one half of the course.

In the Sewing Lab, basic mending skills like putting in a hem, fixing a zipper, or sewing on a lost button are covered. During this second half of the quarter many students complete a sewing project such as a pillow, duffle bag or locker caddie.

Contact one of the FACS teachers by email by clicking on their names. You may also call Timber Ridge at 439-3410
